Dialog about world issues and Christian faith.
Of course, which definition of peace are we to take here? If I understand correctly, the Koran uses a nigh-biblical definition of peace that includes falling in step with God's rule. Subordination is a natural part of the definition of peace, and I don't take offense at that (since subordination rather than egalitarianism is inherent in, for instance, Genesis 1).I wonder what it is that makes some Muslim extremists hate America so. Is it Christianity? No; it's consumerism, I suspect.
Update to that: but the subordination in Genesis does not involve use of violence. Should have mentioned that all-important detail.
